Fall Clean-up of Sandy Hill Parks 2012

Every Spring and Fall, ASH volunteers and the 150th Scouts clean up Sandy Hill’s two biggest parks: Strathcona and Sandy Hill. In recent years, the task has been getting lighter as a result of several community members picking up litter during their own walks in the park. Nevertheless, the park clean-ups, which are part of the City’s “Cleaning the Capital Campaign” continue to yield several garbage bags full of trash every year.

This year’s event on Saturday September 29, 2012 was a resounding success. Photos from the effort at Strathcona Park may be found on the ASH Flickr website.
