The Trinity Development Group has announced that they will be holding a public open house to discuss their initial plans for their property at the corner of Rideau and Chapel, the former Congregation Beth Shalom.
The open house will be held Wednesday, July 9th, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Festival Boardroom on the ground floor of City Hall. Trinity has yet to submit any development applications. This is an opportunity for them to present their initial plans and gauge community reaction. The property is a very large site, nearly 2 acres, and offers enormous development potential. The development of this site could set the tone for future development along the eastern portion of Rideau Street, so it is critical that as many residents as possible come out and make their voices heard. This is of particular importance at the moment as the City is in the process of rewriting the Uptown Rideau Community Design Plan, which will guide future development along Rideau Street from King Edward Avenue to the Cummings Bridge.
