Sandy Hill History Archives
Due to technical issues, the History of Sandy Hill website is currently offline. You can still access the site via the Internet Archive. Navigate to Sandy Hill History. You should be able to navigate the pages as usual. You may need to select a past date from the calendar.
This subsite was created by the late Sandy Hill historian François Bregha. We are working to bring it back to the ASH website. Thank you for your patience!
Winter Carnival 2026 Recap
Adàwe Crossing anniversary 2025
Adàwe Crossing over the Rideau River turned 10 this year! To celebrate the connection between our two communities, ASH and the Overbrook Community Association encouraged residents to meet up again on December 4.
Special thanks to Working Title Kitchen for donating the hot chocolate, to RSC for providing supplies, to our neighbourhood Councillors Stéphanie Plante and Rawlson King, to ASH & OCA volunteers for organizing, and to Sabrina who had the idea 10 years ago to turn the opening of the bridge into a cookie exchange!
So many great stories and memories were shared but it was too cold to record them! Please use this Google form if you want to share a story. Stories will be added to this post as they are received. Click "Read more" below to see what your neighbours have to say.
